After a long day at work Jason convinced me to drop Abigail off at my mom's house so that we could have a night out. I was so exhausted I didn't really want to drive all the way to Castroville, but he insisted so I gave in. When I finally arrived home, the lights were dimmed and there were candles all over the place. Jason was dressed up (and looking good!) and preceded to have a long conversation with me about how much he loved me and Abbey, and how happy he was that we were in his life. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there, grouchy because I was really exhausted, and thinking "Well that's great can I go take a shower now?!". Finally I was halfway upstairs when he said "Wait! I have one more question"! To which I replied "What"?! When he didn't answer I cursed him under my breath and headed back downstairs. As I rounded the corner I found him down on one knee, holding a beautiful diamond ring and he asked me to marry him. I was so surprised that I started crying and asked "Are you sure"? So of course I said yes, and he whisked me away to our surprised engagement party. It was a wonderful night!! |
